In today’s over-distracted world, creating the time for deep work can be difficult. Writers know that “the book won’t write itself” but often find it difficult to find the discipline to create uninterrupted mindfully present writing time. Stillpoint Spaces London is going to create that time for you. We are providing a series of 10 Mindful Deep Work Writing sessions on Friday afternoons in our Library. This workshop is ideal for those who wish to commit to the full run of sessions.
The rules are simple: mobile devices are left outside - laptops are allowed, but wifi must be turned off. After a brief mindful induction, we will quietly write, simply supported by others quietly writing around us. The subject of your writing is up to you, fiction, non-fiction, academic, or journal - the aim is to get words down on paper. This is not a writing workshop, we will not share and critique - but we will mindfully support each other to engage in the necessary deep work to bring our projects alive.
These deep work sessions are lead by by psychologist and mindfulness trainer Paul Christelis and psychotherapist and author Aaron Balick. It is free to members of Stillpoint Spaces London. Non members may join for £18.50 a session, or a package of all sessions for £150.
The workshop will take place weekly on Fridays, from 2pm-5pm.
Remaining dates: 14th Dec. Starting again 11th January - further dates to be confirmed.
Accessibility: At Stillpoint Spaces our aim is to make our events as accessible as possible. However, the building we currently occupy is accessible only by stairwells. Do let us know in advance any issues affecting your accessibility & we will do our very best to accommodate you.
