Scheduling & payments of sessions

All scheduling and payments of sessions are done through the website. Counsellors do not accept any cash payment. Full sessions are booked directly with the counsellor through the “My Stillpoint” area on the website and paid for either by credit card or paypal. You need to be registered in order to schedule a session with a counsellor. Money is drawn of your account after the session and you get email reminders before each session.

Health insurance

Some international private insurances cover the costs of counselling, however, the counsellors do not deal directly with your insurance company. You will be provided with a receipt after each counselling session.

Cancellation policy

If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified the counsellor at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. If notice is received less than 24 hours in advance and you and the counsellor are able to reschedule the appointment that same week for a mutually convenient time, you will not be charged for the missed session.

Emergencies

For patients with acute suicidal tendencies counselling is not adequate. In this case a stationary treatment in a psychiatric hospital may be necessary. A stationary treatment in a psychiatric hospital is necessary in case of an acute psychotic episode.
